Judo Classes Begins Friday, Jan. 12th, 2018

Happy New Year!
We will not be able to start classes until Jan. 12 @ 5 PM, because the lights have not been installed.
This month 2 additional training sessions will be held on Sat. Jan. 13 and 20.
The schedule will be based upon belt color:
white/ yellow belts: 3-4 p.m.
orange/ green belts 4-5 p.m.
advanced  students 5:00 to 6:30.
The following dues are due this month.
1) First quarter dues are to be paid by Jan. 19th.
2) Community Center annual dues – Jan. 26th.

Upcoming Events in May and June 2017

Here’s a list of the upcoming events:
1. Saturday, May 13th: Sensei Promotion Reception
  • There will be no practice this Saturday.

2.  Monday, May 15th:  Practice from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

3.  Saturday, May 20th:  Special Judo Practice with Harbor Judo Dojo at 2:30pm.

4.  Sunday, May 21st: Tournament
Forms are due on Friday, May 19th.
Print them out, fill them out, and bring them to the dojo on Tue 5/16 or Fri 5/19 to pay and weigh in with Sensei Koyama.

5.  Friday, May 26th: Special Practice with Guest Senseis from Japan at 6pm.

      9pm to 10pm:  Potluck dinner with SG Judo Families

6.  Saturday, May 27th:  No Practice… It’s Memorial Day Weekend!  =)

7.  Saturday, June 10th:  San Gabriel Japanese Community Center Summer Fun Day!

— Live entertainment.  Good food.  Huge water fight for all the kids to get to be kids!

2016 Infantil Pan American Judo Championships

We are pleased to announce that Izzy Coulter and Shea Hamilton have been selected to represent the United States at the 2016 Infantil Pan American Judo Championships in the Dominican Republic, this November.
It is a great achievement to be selected to participate in this event. Their hard work and dedication has provided them this opportunity and we are so proud of them!
